Dork!!!

Before I forget it:

Our Lesson of the Day, Brought to You By Your Loving Host, Sickdragon, Aka, Dumbdragon... [insert insipid music here]

Hello to you all my lovely friends, and here is our Lesson of the Day: If you, for any given reason, ever want to wash your sheets and you're in a rush, and you think it's ok to dump them in the washing machine very fast because, if there happened to be some substancial object bundled up within the sheets, you'd undoubtely notice it, mind me, good friends; you wouldn't. You wouldn't.

And this was my homage to my much-loved tv remote who perished today due to my cleverness. May you rest in peace, good friend, and I'm sorry.

OK. I solemnly promise that when I finish this post I'm gonna close the explorer and all the IM's, and I'll get some work done. At last. I've been dreading it but it has to be done.

I met a really neat guy yesterday in Yahoo. I was feeling lonely and depressed, and none of my two contacts were online, so I started browsing the users by nickname. I typed 'dragon' and started IMming all of those who were online. Finally a guy answered and we started talking. But, when I told him I was in a relationship, he kicked me off. I didn't let that bring me down, and started browsing for other guys. I typed 'Pink Floyd'. No one on line, all pinkfloyders are snoozing. The I typed 'Radiohead' and I struck gold.

I got into talking with a 19 year old who didn't care I had a boyfriend, and we had the most hilarious evening calling each other 'you're a dork!' and 'you're a super-dork' and 'in that case, you're a MEGA-dork!' and laughing out butts off. I hadn't laughed this much in a long time. We also had a nice time chatting about our lives. Thank you, radiohead-guy, you made my day.

So, thus encouraged, today I started a conversation with another total stranger. This time it was a 17-year-old gay boy who lives in CA. It turned out we've had similar life-lines, and I just got off from talking with him. He's very sweet.

I'm a very good conversationalist. Really. I can go pretty much everywhere you want. I can speak about the weather, I can speak about dorkish-ness, and I can speak about the uncertainty of the results of an internet-raised generation. I rock.

So now I'm officially in a Quest for Friends. Do talk to me, I'm lonely.

If you think it's pathetic, go here.

I'll be back.
