she has a house and garden, I would like to see what happens

Miranda just called. unsupervised, unabashed, unchecked, unbeatable, and highly medicated, off she went in an apartment hunt, and her call was to let me know that she just started the paperwork --and left an unfunded, unmedicated check-- for a house in the heart of town.

yes, she heard me first time we discussed it and she happens to think every single word I said is bullshit. the rent is more than reasonable and I KNOW IT, DAMN IT, plus she's tired of me giving her excuses because I'm such a pussy, I always want to play it safe, well safe just doesn't exist, especially if you don't have anything to work for and you don't wanna commit to something that's slightly challenging, so get OFF YOUR LAZY ASS, we need the deposit for the end of september.

a HOUSE. not an apartment, or a basement, or a little dovehouse precariously atop a decrepit building. an honest to god house with 'laundry room' and 'living room' and 'stationary gas' and... a garden.

I don't know how to react, I've been giggling madly, jumping little jumps and screaming harshly for the last ten minutes. I check my expense lists for the last months and I conclude that I could make it... if I'm frugal and I don't get depressed.

a HOUSE. with a GARDEN. and the rent is almost decent, with the drawback that we'll have to share the rent with someone else, but ah, watch my good mood. just watch it.

now the problem of coming up with one rent deposit, current month rent in just four weeks. plus necessary resources to hire a moving truck to move my stuff from bel's. plus chunk change that implies settling into a new house.

I'm terrified.
